The opened spellbook reveals the group's location to the witches, who track them down and abduct Binx and Dani, taking back their spellbook in the process.

As opposed to the original movie, which was shot almost entirely in Salem, Massachusetts, the Hocus Pocus sequel was filmed in Rhode Island. Located in Salem’s McIntire Historic District, visitors can tour the interior of the famous mansion and the property’s beautifully maintained gardens. Filming for the Sanderson house and the hanging took place in Salem’s Pioneer Village, a museum built in 1930 which mimics the colonial architecture of thatched roof cottages and wigwams of the 1600s.
